Our vision – Children grow up in environments that promote gender equality and enable them to thrive

Our pathway of change statement

THEN schools will be more likely to strengthen age-appropriate, whole-school approaches, with parents as active partners

BECAUSE early, collaborative action by families and schools creates the best conditions for children to feel safe, thrive and grow up free from limiting gender stereotypes and misogyny.

IF we support and empower parent communities to encourage and support their primary schools to take early, positive action

Our Team

MFS is led by a core group of volunteers. We are grateful for technical support we get from some specialist advisors including those who work in wonderful partner organisations tackling these issues.

Jessica Morris

I’m Jessica (she/her), Founder and Director of MFS. I’ve spent two decades working in global women’s health and rights with a focus on sexual and reproductive health. The mounting evidence of a more emboldened form of sexism which often targets young people made me feel like I had to do something proactive, so that kids like my own are well equipped to recognise and challenge it. MFS developed out of my positive experience working with my kids’ school on this issue.

Olga De Biaggio

Hi, I’m Olga (she/her), Gender Equality and Social Impact Advisor at MFS. For over 20 years, I’ve worked on designing and delivering gender-transformative programmes across health, education, and protection. I’m driven by a strong belief that greater gender equality benefits everyone, and I’m passionate about contributing to a future where children grow up with more positive, equitable models of identity and relationships.

Leah Kenny

Hi, I’m Leah (she / her), Research & Policy advisor for MFS. I currently work for an international medical humanitarian organisation and have spent nearly ten years working at the intersection of advocacy, policy, and research for local and international charities. My background is in public health, specialising in sexual and reproductive health. My research has focused on tackling harmful gender norms and addressing violence against women and children.

Bianca Oliver

Hi, I'm Bianca (she/her), Community & Communications for MFS. Journalist and specialist with an MSc in Global Development focused on Gender, I have over a decade of international experience in Brazil, Sweden, and the UK. My work focuses on gender equality and human rights, using research-led digital strategies to tackle misinformation and gender-based violence, and to amplify voices for social justice and institutional change.

Child-centered, early preventative action: To act early, upstream and preventatively to support children’s healthy development, wellbeing and safety, using age-appropriate, proportionate approaches.

Partnership and shared responsibility: We work through collaboration, trust and shared responsibility between parents, schools and communities — not blame, shame or fault-finding.

Intersectional inclusion: We recognise that gender norms and misogyny intersect with race, disability, class, culture, faith, sexuality and inequality, and we commit to inclusive approaches that reflect the lived realities of diverse children and families.

Strengths-based, respectful engagement: We build on what families, schools and communities already do well, creating spaces for open, constructive and respectful dialogue grounded in care, empathy and mutual respect.

Positive masculinity and inclusion of boys and men: We celebrate boys and men as part of the solution, supporting healthy, positive expressions of masculinity and rejecting narratives that frame them as the problem.

Evidence-informed and hope-filled: We are guided by research, safeguarding principles and best practice, while remaining grounded in real-world contexts and driven by a belief in positive, possible change.
